Study titled “Brazilian Butt Lift Under Local Anesthesia (BBLULA): A Novel Technique Addressing Safety Concerns” by bodySCULPT Plastic Surgeons scheduled for publication in December 2018 issue of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery

bodySCULPT®‘s plastic surgeons are pleased to announce that their article titled “Brazilian Butt Lift Under Local Anesthesia (BBLULA): A Novel Technique Addressing Safety Concerns” has been scheduled for publication in the December 2018 issue of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.

Safer than implant-based butt augmentation, Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) is a combination of liposuction and fat grafting treatments and results in youthful, perky, firm buttocks and a more sensual body profile. BBL improves the shape and size of the derriere using the candidate’s own fat from other areas. Typical donor areas include the abdomen, hips, flanks, outer thighs, and inner thighs.

Plastic surgeons Spero J. Theodorou MD and Christopher T. Chia MD of bodySCULPT®, an AAAASF-accredited plastic surgery practice based in Manhattan, NYC, invented BBL under local anesthesia (BBLULA). This novel technique involves a small to moderate size BBL under local anesthesia. When performed by a surgeon who is experienced with this type of technique, BBLULA can be performed safely and effectively with minimal pain. This is an ideal option for candidates who want a relatively short procedure with a very short recuperation time and a return back to normal activity with minimal downtime.
