Brazilian Butt Lift under Local Anesthesia (BBLULA) Can Address Safety Concerns, says New Study Published by bodySCULPT Plastic Surgeons

Brazilian Butt LiftA new study by bodySCULPT® plastic surgeons titled “Brazilian Butt Lift under Local Anesthesia (BBLULA): A Novel Technique Addressing Safety Concerns” has been published in the December 2018 issue of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Performed under local anesthesia,Brazilian Butt Lift under local anesthesia in NYC is a relatively a new concept invented by leading plastic surgeons Drs. Spero Theodorou and Christopher T. Chia of bodySCULPT®. The main aim of this study was to present data where gluteal lift is performed under local anesthesia, address safety concerns, and clarify all the speculations BBL had before.

Buttock augmentation with autologous fat grafting, or gluteal lift (currently marketed as the “Brazilian butt lift”), represents one of the most rapidly evolving and increasingly popular operations in aesthetic surgery. In this “dual-benefit” body contouring procedure, fat harvested from unwanted areas to enhance contouring using liposuction is prepared for transplantation into the gluteal region.

This procedure provides women with a well-shaped curvy posterior using their own fat from areas where it is available in excess. The popularity of the treatment has soared as it provides beautiful natural-looking outcomes without the hassles associated with implants. According to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS), BBL or buttock augmentation using fat grafting increased by 10% in 2017 over the previous year.

But then, recently, traditional Brazilian Butt Lifts under general anesthesia have been reported to have the highest rate of deaths by far for any elective cosmetic procedure. In this operation, fat is removed from unwanted areas, carefully prepared and then injected into the buttocks and thighs for either increased volume, improved shape or both. Unfortunately, it was found that when fat is injected into and below the muscle either intentionally or unintentionally, it can have devastating consequences. The fat may enter the bloodstream and cause the heart and lungs to fail and lead to death. This was found to occur in one out of 3,000 cases by the Fat Grafting Task Force, a multi-disciplinary group of plastic surgeons who looked carefully into this. Even though there are several theories as to why this happens, one of the major reasons is that when the gluteal (buttock) muscle is penetrated by the fat grafting cannula, the large veins underneath are somehow damaged and that fat inadvertently enters the bloodstream.

But now, a new effective and revolutionary technique, Brazilian butt lift under local anesthesia (BBLULA) invented by bodySCULPT plastic surgeons, NYC has been proved to be extremely successful as a safer alternative for traditional BBL. To prove the safety and efficacy of this procedure in the awake patient, the study was done as follows:

  • 34 women patients underwent a full history and physical examination and were determined to be candidates for gluteal fat transplantation under local anesthesia based on their fat availability, skin elasticity, desire for buttock augmentation, and willingness to undergo an awake procedure.
  • The candidates were given oral medications, including an antibiotic, pain medication, and a sedative
  • They were awake and conversant throughout the procedure
  • All procedures were performed in an American Association for Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgery-accredited, office-based operating room.
  • Appropriate perioperative laboratory testing and medical clearance was obtained when clinically indicated, and all patients provided written informed consent and were photographed preoperatively.
  • Exclusion criteria for this study included active smoking, body mass index greater than 35 kg/m2, medical contraindications to liposuction or medicines used, objection to an awake procedure, and unrealistic patient expectations.
  • All patients underwent gluteal lift under local anesthesia using oral medications and tumescent infiltration. Fat was harvested by closed-system liposuction, separated by gravity, injected using a peristaltic pump and reticulating basket cannulas.
  • Eleven patients underwent more than one gluteal lift under local anesthesia procedure; one of them underwent three gluteal lifts under local anesthesia procedures and one underwent four gluteal lifts under local anesthesia operations.
  • All patients were able to resume normal daily activities such as returning to work within 2 postoperative days.
  • They were instructed to strictly limit sitting or other positions that would result in prolonged pressure on the grafted areas.
  • There were no complications, including fat embolism, seroma, bleeding, or infection.

Dr. Chia says that, “this pioneering operation retains all the benefits of traditional BBL without the risk of general anesthesia and the accidental injection of fat into the bloodstream”. The surgeons took their experience of over 5,000 awake liposuction cases and extended the technique to where patients can have the fat removed from the places they do not want it and safely injected into the buttocks and other desired areas.

The study concludes that satisfactory outcomes could be achieved without injecting fat into the muscle, thereby eliminating the potential for misguidance, misadventure, and fatal complications.

BBLULA is an ideal option for patients who want subtle results. It is a relatively short procedure with a very short recuperation time and a quicker return back to normal activity.

Considering a Brazilian Butt Lift? Your Plastic Surgeon Matters!

Brazilian Butt LiftBrazilian butt lift (BBL) in NYC has seen a surge in demand in recent years, which is largely attributed to social media images of celebrities like Kim Kardashian. This cosmetic surgical procedure is designed to provide women with prominent, youthful-looking, curvy buttocks using their own fat. Fat transfer to the butt has to be done very strategically and carefully to avoid any complications while injecting the fat in to the buttock. Therefore, if considering a Brazilian butt lift, make sure you consult a plastic surgeon with relevant experience in the procedure.

The procedure involves harvesting fat from the abdomen, flanks or thighs, processing it, and injecting into targeted areas of the buttocks. This combination of liposuction and fat transfer can dramatically enhance the silhouette of the midsection and lower body to deliver the curves that many women desire. However, considerations of risk for BBL are the same as any other type of elective plastic surgery, and should be discussed with the plastic surgeon.

The results of a Brazilian Butt lift are very dependent on the technique that your surgeon will use and also on his level of experience. Make sure your surgeon is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and has completed all necessary requirements for membership in this professional organization. An ideal surgeon for this procedure should have the education, expertise and experience in body contouring surgery, and in performing BBL surgery. Ask how frequently the surgeon performs the BBL procedure. Ensure that the chosen surgeon’s facility is accredited by the AAAASF or another similar nationally recognized body as such accredited centers utilize highly advanced, proven butt lift techniques.

Injections are made at different depths and areas of the buttocks, depending on what degree of enhancement is required. No matter how carefully it is done and how advanced the fat transfer techniques used are, not all of the fat will survive. Before beginning the procedure, the surgeon must make sure that as many fat cells as possible will survive. In general, a good amount of fat is required in the order of several hundred CCs or even more per buttock. Removing and adding fat in the right proportion makes the difference between attractive outcomes versus just increasing size.

Discuss your goals with your plastic surgeon in an in-person consultation beforehand so that your goals are met. Professional surgeons offer 3D imaging facility to help patients visualize the procedure outcome. Evaluate before and after photos of your surgeon’s work and also talk to previous patients of this surgeon. This is a great way to get a better understanding of what you might experience from start to finish.

Drs. Spero Theodorou and Christopher T. Chia of bodySCULPT® in NYC offer a small to moderate size BBL under local anesthesia. This procedure can be performed safely and effectively with minimal pain. However, with local anesthesia, the areas of liposuction and the amount of fat that is injected to the buttocks is limited when compared to the procedure done under general anesthesia.

Many surgeons also offer virtual consultations to provide a quick answer to your questions, wherever you are in the world. Before choosing a surgeon, make sure to educate yourself on the procedure. When you educate yourself, you will know the right questions to be asked during consultations.

Is it Possible to have Multiple Cosmetic Procedures at the Same Time?

Cosmetic ProceduresAccording to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS), up to 17.5 million surgical and minimally-invasive cosmetic procedures were performed in the U.S. in 2017 – a 2 percent increase over 2016. Body contouring in NYC includes a wide range of treatments to address different aesthetic concerns. According to NYC plastic surgeons, one common question potential patients ask is “Can I have multiple procedures at the same time?”

The answer is “yes”, multiple cosmetic surgeries can be performed at the same time. In fact, the number of patients having more than cosmetic procedure has increased in recent times. The 2017 ASPS report reveals that patients having multiple procedures at the same time are up 4%.

The main benefits of combining cosmetic procedures include:

  • Avoids the need for multiple consultations with the plastic surgeon
  • Only one surgery in a single sitting
  • Combines recovery time – no need for extra time off work
  • Get back to routine faster
  • Lower expenses (as it requires a single anesthetist, one consultation, etc)
  • Improved overall appearance

However, patient safety is the prime consideration. According to Philip Haeck, MD, former chairman of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons’ Patient Safety Committee, “Combining a few minor procedures is certainly safe when there’s a time limit that’s appropriate on anaesthesia, when the patient is a healthy candidate, and when there is the correct decision on which procedures to combine.”

Other considerations that go into determining the possibility of having multiple cosmetic surgeries at same time include:

  • the patient’s overall health
  • the areas where the procedures are to be performed
  • the surgeon’s qualifications and experience
  • the length of time the patient would need to be under anesthesia

In terms of body sculpting, the most popular combination procedures are:

  • Mommy makeover (tummy tuck, liposuction, breast lift and breast augmentation)
  • Breast augmentation and breast lift
  • Thigh liposuction and thigh lift
  • Face and neck lift
  • Liposuction and arm Lift

One body contouring option that has become increasingly popular over the years is the mommy makeover, which is intended to help mothers restore their pre-pregnancy body. This treatment is a blend of cosmetic procedures designed to make mothers feel comfortable with their bodies again and regain their self-confidence. This combo treatment is designed to resolve several postpartum changes such as loss of breast volume, breast sag and loose skin, excess skin in the abdominal area, stubborn deposits of fat in various areas, stretch marks, and wrinkles. The treatments typically included in this package are: tummy tuck, liposuction, breast lift and breast augmentation. With the advanced techniques and technologies these procedures can improve all areas of the body affected by pregnancy with minimal scarring, minimal discomfort and short downtime.

Similarly, breast augmentation and breast lift can be effectively combined. Breast augmentation in NYC (with implants) is the right option to increase volume but it may not be appropriate to address excessive sagging. In such cases, the plastic surgeon may recommend augmentation along with a breast lift. A breast lift can resolve droopiness due to aging or childbirth and provide a more youthful bustline.

When it comes to combining a brazilian butt lift and breast lift, some surgeons recommend staging the procedures as recovery from a combination treatment could pose difficulties. But there are expert NYC surgeons who can successfully combine a Brazilian butt lift with a breast lift.

Each patient is unique, and so multiple aesthetic procedures will naturally have different outcomes on their bodies. Moreover, there are certain cosmetic surgical procedures that cannot be done simultaneously.

If you are considering body contouring in NYC and want to have more than one procedure at the same time, choose an AAAASF-accredited plastic surgery practice with expert surgeons. A good surgeon will evaluate your goals, anatomical considerations, and health status and guide you in taking the right decision.

Body Contouring Devices Market – Opportunities and Trends

Body ContouringA growing number of men and women are opting to have body contouring in NYC to get rid of localized fat deposits that persist even after strenuous dieting and exercise. NYC surgeons use innovative minimally-invasive and noninvasive techniques to remove unwanted fat from various areas and reshape and sculpt the body. Popular treatments include liposuction, tummy tuck, breast augmentation and lift, abdominal etching and butt augmentation.

Recent market research reports say that the rise in aesthetic consciousness has created a favorable environment for the growth of body contouring devices market. A Coherent Market Insights report titled “Body Contouring Devices Market – Global Size, and Opportunity Analysis, 2017-2025” analyzes the development of body contouring market, with focus on the US market. According to the World Health Organization, over 1.9 billion adults were reported to be overweight in 2014, out of which 600 million were obese. This accounts for 13% of the total world population. The Centers for Diseases Control and Prevention (CDC) estimates that more than one-third (36.5%) of U.S. adults have obesity.

According to the Coherent Market Insights, victims of obesity and bariatric surgery patients are the high probable targets of the global body contouring devices market. Sagging skin is a major concern among people who have undergone weight loss or have had bariatric surgery. Body contouring helps to get rid of this excess skin as well as remaining fat and improves overall appearance.

The report identifies the factors driving the growth of the body contouring market as:

  • Increase in the rate of obesity at a global scale
  • Advancements in the field of aesthetics
  • Increasing awareness among people regarding fitness
  • Non-invasive devices and treatments

The study notes that high treatment costs of body contouring could dampen the growth of the market over forecast period 2017-2015. The reimbursement policies of body contouring procedures do not include the cost of aesthetic products that are used in the process which is another restraint for the global body contouring devices market.

Geographically, the body contouring devices market is segmented into North America, Europe, Asia Pacific, Latin America, Middle East, and Africa. North America is expected to dominate the market owing to people’s increasing awareness about body aesthetics. The report identifies the leading players in operating global body contouring devices market are Cynosure, Meridian Co. Ltd., Syneron Medical Ltd., Lumenis, Alma Lasers, Ltd and Palomar Medical Technologies.

BodyTite Vs Traditional Liposuction: Learn the Difference

BodyTite LiposuctionLiposuction is a widely accepted cosmetic surgical procedure to get rid of unwanted fat which refuses to go away even with dieting and exercise. It has also found use in treating lymphedema in cancer patients. There are different types of techniques such as traditional invasive liposuction surgery and minimally-invasive options such as radiofrequency assisted BodyTite liposuction in NYC. If you are considering body contouring treatment, it is important to know the difference between these techniques.

BodyTite Liposuction is an advanced minimally invasive permanent fat removal and skin tightening treatment. It uses radiofrequency-assisted liposuction (RFAL) for effective fat removal and cellulite reduction with noticeable skin tightening effects. The procedure can provide 40% more skin tightening than traditional liposuction treatment. A young, healthy person with good quality skin may experience good skin contraction after the procedure.

Traditional liposuction, on the other hand, involves invasive surgery that targets stubborn fat pocket. It is performed under general anesthesia as it requires large incisions to insert a larger cannula for fat removal. Conventional liposuction alone does not provide any skin tightening benefits. So there is an increased possibility of dimpling or sagging after the procedure, particularly with older patients who have lost skin elasticity.

BodyTite NYC works on the same principal as liposuction to remove stubborn fat. The device has two probes that work simultaneously. One works beneath the skin, heating the entire soft-tissue matrix and melting the fat via the temperature controlled radio-frequency technology. The second probe simultaneously aspirates the liquefied fat and coagulates the adipose, fibrous, and vascular tissue. The heat generated tightens the skin quickly and coagulates the tissues, allowing the plastic surgeon to sculpt the body to the ideal shape. BodyTite liposuction can provide noticeable skin tightening effects, especially for those who are left with sagging skin or loose skin after traditional liposuction.

Differences between BodyTite and traditional liposuction are shown below:

BodyTite Traditional Liposuction
Anesthesia Requires local anaesthesia

General anaesthesia / IV sedation

What it does Liquefies fat before removal via suctioning and uses radiofrequency energy to tighten the skin

Suctions out fat but leaves behind loose skin

Skin Tightening Visible skin tightening through renewed collagen production

Additional surgery may be needed to remove loose skin

Scars Minimal scars that fade with time Result in larger scars

Downtime Downtime is approximately 2-3 days

Downtime is about 7 – 14 days

Compression garment A compression garment may have to be worn for about 2 weeks

May require wearing a compression garment for up to 6 weeks

Surgical trauma Reduced bruising, swelling and other surgical trauma More bruising and swelling to the area. Extensive deep tissue bruising that may last weeks and even months.
Recovery Most patients achieve full recovery in a couple of days Regular liposuction involves a long recovery time
Number of treatments required Usually one treatment is sufficient though some people may need two. Usually one session is enough as up to three liters of fat can be removed in just one session and up to three areas of the body can be treated (depending on the size).
Results seen Results are patient specific and depend on the treatment area and amount of fat removed. Larger areas will require a longer recovery time. Initial results can be seen immediately after the procedure, with the best results visible after 6-12 weeks.

Following traditional surgery, noticeable improvement is usually seen in about 3-9 months’ time and final results after one year.

Leading NYC plastic surgeons may combine advanced and traditional liposuction techniques to provide patients with the best outcomes. If you are considering body contouring treatment, choose an AAAASF-accredited NYC plastic surgery practice with surgeons who are experts in performing the procedure. A good plastic surgeon attaches top priority to patient safety and care and can ensure attractive and long-lasting body sculpting results. Regardless of the type of procedure you have, following a healthy lifestyle is necessary to maintain the results.

Liposuction Could Help Treat Arthritis, says NewBeauty Report

LiposuctionThe demand for body contouring in NYC has been increased significantly in recent years, indicating that more and more men and women are becoming increasingly conscious about their appearance. According to the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS), liposuction was the most popular procedure in 2016, with 414,335 procedures performed. Liposuction removes stubborn fat pockets and reshapes the body. According to a recent NewBeauty article, experts say that liposuction fat transfer can be used to treat arthritis.

Fat grafting is often used after breast cancer surgery and radiation therapy. According to the article, fat removed during liposuction can be used to heal painful arthritic joints. Fat transfer in NYC is popular in Brazilian butt lift surgery where excess fat from specific areas is extracted and injected into buttocks to enhance shape and appearance. In a brand new surgery in the U.K., fat removed via liposuction is injected into damaged painful joints mainly in knees and feet. The procedure, dubbed Lipogems, can lessen discomfort in joints and act as an anti-inflammatory agent. The report notes that post-procedure MRIs have shown that the treatment can actually regrow cartilage in joints affected by arthritis.

The article cites a plastic surgeon as saying that the concept of Lipogems appears to be based on the idea that fat, which is rich in stem cells, can be injected into various areas of the body to produce a regenerative effect. The expert points out that the procedure is mainly about using fat-based stem cells extracted through liposuction to treat arthritic joints.

Stem cells are found in adult tissue. Plastic surgeons offering body contouring in NYC use stems cells in skin and fat grafting to reconstruct lost compound tissue and address congenital malformations, to treat acute and chronic wounds and burns. Cosmetic surgeons use patients’ stem cells in several procedures to provide more attractive, natural, and youthful-looking results. Fat extracted through liposuction is purified and used in procedures such as facial rejuvenation, Brazilian butt lift, breast augmentation, wound care, reconstructive surgery, and to correct asymmetry. As the NewBeauty report points out, there this “tried-and-true procedure” could have a whole new use if it can help in treating painful arthritic joints.

Tummy Tuck or Liposuction – Which is the Better Solution for Belly Flab?

Tummy Tuck or LiposuctionA flabby abdomen is one of the most common aesthetic concerns for which men and women seek body contouring in NYC. Both tummy tuck and liposuction can address the problem and patients are often confused as to which procedure can provide the best results. The answer would vary based on individual concerns, according to a report from the American Association of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS):

  • Extent of sagging skin: After massive weight loss, many people end up with lot of sagging skin. In this case, a tummy tuck would be the right option. The procedure involves removing excess skin tissue via an incision in the lower abdomen. On the other hand, liposuction alone could help patients who have little or no skin laxity. Plastic surgeons in NYC perform the procedure using advanced minimally-invasive technologies, such as BodyTite, that involve only tiny incisions to suction off excess fat. Advanced techniques also tighten the skin to provide a smooth, natural-looking appearance.
  • Muscle laxity: Pregnancy and massive weight loss usually cause the abdominal wall to become loose. A full tummy tuck involving a hip-to-hip incision would be needed to correct extensive muscle laxity. In this case, the surgeon will perform a detailed assessment to determine whether your flabby abdomen is due to muscle laxity and/or fat.
  • Personal aesthetic goals: Liposuction-only usually works better for younger patients with a stable weight and good skin elasticity. Patients who are especially concerned about even a small amount of excess skin in the tummy area are told to have liposuction first. They will be advised to then wait 3-4 months to give the skin time to shrink to the best of its ability. If they are not satisfied with the result after this “waiting period”, they can have muscle repair. Expert surgeons say that it will be easier to remove excess skin and tighten the muscles once the fat has been removed.

In the RealSelf discussion forum, a male patient had a different kind of concern. He had lost 63 pounds in the last 18-months and presently had a 31 waist. As he was planning to have gynecomastia BodyTite surgery, he wanted to know what he had options to flatten the remaining fat and skin on his stomach. He also stated that he had very firm abs underneath the squeezable fat/skin. He also posted his pictures showing his abs.

Based on the images he posted, an expert surgeon said that he might be a good candidate for BodyTite. This FDA approved body sculpting technique is effective and safe. Since the patient wanted to tighten the skin along with removing fat, the surgeon felt that BodyTite could address his concerns. However, he advised the patient an detailed in-person consultation with a plastic surgeon specialist to iron out the details

BodyTite liposuction is performed using an FDA-approved, minimally-invasive RFAL (Radiofrequency-Assisted Liposuction) device. It removes fat and reshapes the body, giving you the look you want without going under the knife. The procedure liquefies subcutaneous fat, coagulates blood vessels and tightens the skin in a single process. Its main benefits are:

  • Minimally invasive procedure
  • Requires only local anesthesia
  • Significant fat reduction and body firming
  • Reduced surgical trauma
  • Less downtime, treatment does not require overnight stay
  • Quick healing and less scarring
  • The effect is strengthened and stabilized within a few weeks

Its gentle, deep heating promotes significant body tightening, often with soft tissue contraction of up to 40%. The procedure takes only 30-45 minutes and is virtually painless.

If you want to address belly flab, consult an experienced plastic surgeon in an AAAASF-accredited surgical center offering body contouring in NYC. Expert surgeons will evaluate your concerns thoroughly and tell you whether tummy tuck surgery or liposuction treatment, or both, will provide the best results.

Can Moderate Exercises Be Done Soon after BodyTite?

BodyTiteBody sculpting in New York City is becoming increasingly popular as the innovative techniques used for sculpting ensure outstanding results. Aesthetic procedures are carried out on those areas of the body to remove excess fat that is diet- and exercise- resistant. Many benefits are provided by minimally invasive procedures for fat reduction, such as BodyTite. Even then, there are many concerns regarding these procedures that people discuss on popular plastic surgery forums such as Realself. One such concern of a prospective patient was whether moderate exercise like brisk walking one week after liposuction would increase or prolong any swelling on the body.

Experts say that it’s good to exercise. Plastic surgeons advise that on the first 10 days after the procedure you can walk on a treadmill reading a magazine. If your pace is too fast, you will not be able to read. Then, you have to slow down. After two weeks you can slowly get back to your routine and after 4 weeks you can go “crazy” with the gym after you are cleared by your plastic surgeon.

BodyTite, an advanced liposuction platform makes use of patented Radiofrequency-assisted Liposuction (RFAL) technology to offer you a safe, gentle and sophisticated body contouring solution. This breakthrough body remodeling procedure can eliminate stubborn fat and remove cellulite, while simultaneously re-contouring and firming your body. Surgical trauma is minimal, and patients can resume normal activities within a few days. The recovery after RFAL is usually far quicker and less uncomfortable than with traditional liposuction.

You can engage in exercises depending upon the kind of treatment you receive. If you overdo exercises, then you may experience increase in swelling. Walking is a good start and walking up hills or on a treadmill with an incline is helpful exercise during this time. At the same time, as many experienced surgeons strongly advise, it is best that you refrain from carrying out vigorous exercise for two weeks after the operation. Hematomas or other disorders can arise in the areas treated if you perform activities that require excessive effort soon after the procedure. Such workouts can be performed once you heal properly.

Depending upon the area treated and the amount of fat removed, the recovery time and results vary.  Larger areas will require a longer recovery time and results are patient specific. Normally, the initial results can be seen immediately after the procedure, with the best results noticeable after 6-12 weeks.

To perform body contouring in NYC, choose a reliable AAAASF-accredited plastic surgery practice with trained and experienced plastic surgeons to provide BodyTite liposuction surgery. This will ensure you a safe procedure as well as attractive and long-lasting body sculpting results. A good plastic surgeon attaches top priority to patient safety and care and can ensure attractive and long-lasting body sculpting results. He/she would give you proper post-operative care tips to ensure a safe procedure. Most importantly, you have to lead a healthy lifestyle to maintain the attractive outcome.

Get into Shape this New Year with Liposuction

LiposuctionGetting into shape is a popular New Year resolution and often on the top of the wish list of many men and women. Body contouring in New York, or more specifically, liposuction, can help you achieve your goal to shape up. Liposuction is not a weight loss strategy, but it can still help you go forward with your New Year’s resolution to slim down.

Liposuction removes stubborn fat pockets that don’t respond to even strenuous diet and exercises. The procedure’s popularity has soared in recent years. According to the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS), liposuction was the most popular procedure in 2016 with 414,335 procedures performed. Reports say that millennials are the largest demographic for aesthetic treatments.

No matter how hard you work out or how healthy you eat, stubborn fat can persist in certain areas and prevent you from achieving that streamlined figure you dream about. The truth is that fat deposits in certain areas like the tummy, flanks, arms and thighs, become more difficult to get rid of as we get older. Liposuction can address this concern effectively. Good candidates for the procedure are close to their ideal weight, healthy, and active. Having good skin elasticity is an advantage as it helps the skin shrink and fit the new contour.

Smartlipo is a minimally invasive laser liposuction procedure that has gained popularity for its efficiency and safety. Smartlipo is laser liposuction uses laser energy to melt the excess fat so that it can be easily removed via a small cannula. This procedure minimizes downtime and allows patients to return to normal activities more quickly than conventional liposuction. It also promotes collagen production and tightens skin.

Women can combine liposuction with other procedures such as tummy tuck, breast reduction and so on for optimal body contouring results. If your concern is excess abdominal fat and skin, you can combine a tummy tuck with laser liposuction. No amount of exercise and healthy eating can address skin laxity. A tummy tuck in NYC is an ideal option to treat sagging abdominal skin.

Liposuction removes fat cells from the treated areas but can’t prevent future weight gain, which could compromise your results. So it’s important to maintain a healthy lifestyle with proper diet and regular exercise to maintain the results throughout the year and beyond.

Don’t opt to have laser liposuction just because you want to try out something new this year. Liposuction is recommended only when natural options like diet and exercise fail to provide the desired results. Take the time to find an AAAASF accredited plastic surgery practice in NYC that has surgeons who are experts in laser lipolysis. An experienced NYC plastic surgeon will evaluate your candidature and your goals, and help you take an informed decision.
