Dr Christopher T. Chia, Co-founder and Surgical Director, bodySCULPT Inc, in NYC is a speaker at the Plastic Surgery The Meeting (PSTM). Hosted at the Georgia World Congress Center, Atlanta, Georgia, United States of America, this year’s meeting is scheduled to be held from October 29th to November 1st, 2021.
PSTM is organized by The American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the largest plastic surgery specialty organization in the world. Founded in 1931, the ASPS represents 94% of all board-certified plastic surgeons in the U.S., and more than 11,000 plastic surgeons worldwide, making ASPS a global institution and leading authority on cosmetic and reconstructive plastic surgery. Their goal is to advance quality care to plastic surgery patients by encouraging high standards of training, ethics, physician practice and research in plastic surgery.
The Meeting brings together the best and brightest surgeons in the specialty, poised to share their expertise with colleagues who arrive from countries around the globe. It is the premier educational (built for an existing in-person event) and networking event of the year, for both domestic and international plastic surgeons, trainees and other allied health professionals who are interested in expanding their knowledge and skill into practice, and improving patient care and outcomes. This meeting is also providing generations of aesthetic and reconstructive plastic surgeons the education they need to grow all aspects of their surgical career and practice.
Dr Chia will be attending one session in this meeting about Minimally Invasive Facial Aesthetics Alternatives on Sunday, October 31 from 1:30-3:00 P.M. EDT.
The topic will cover ancillary techniques and new approaches in Facial Aesthetics. Ancillary techniques not only commonly accompany traditional facelift surgery but often replace it. In addition, new approaches allow surgery to be performed readily under local anesthesia. A number of these procedures will be described by Dr. Chia during this session.
At the end of this activity, participants will be able to:
- Become familiar with the use of sublingual sufentanil (that is used to relieve pain severe enough to require opioid treatment) and local anesthesia.
- Identify novel techniques to optimize long-term soft tissue volume correction
- Identify when and how to perform isolated neck procedures.
