Botox Cosmetic is an effective non-surgical procedure that temporarily improves the signs of aging in the face – forehead lines, bunny lines, crow’s feet, dimpled chin, gummy smile, and much more. Allergan Aesthetics, an AbbVie company (NYSE: ABBV), the founder of Botox Cosmetic launched National Botox Day in 2019. The company is celebrating the fourth annual BOTOX® Cosmetic Day on Wednesday, November 16, 2022. This is their biggest event of the year and the day aims at educating those interested in learning more about and trying Botox.
Before providing BOTOX treatments, NYC plastic surgeons will determine if you’re an appropriate candidate. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved Botox in 2002 for cosmetic use and it has steadily grown in popularity over the years. According to the 2020 Plastic Surgery Statistics Report, 4,401,536 Botulinum Toxin Type A (Botox™, Dysport™, Xeomin™) procedures were held in 2020.When Botox is injected into the treatment area, it temporarily relaxes the muscles that cause wrinkles. This non-surgical procedure can also lift the brows, help turn up the lips and soften the chin area, and thus dramatically reduce early and moderate signs of aging. It provides excellent results and involves less time and recovery than a facelift.
