Founded in 1967, the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS) is recognized as the world’s leading organization in its category with more than 2,600 members, devoted to aesthetic plastic surgery and cosmetic treatments of the face and body. Membership in the ASAPS is the exclusive privilege of surgeons who have the necessary qualifications. Each year, the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery sponsors and endorses many scientific conferences and offers Continuing Medical Education (CME) credits for various educational activities. Attending the continuing education events such as the ASAPS conferences and workshops offers a valuable opportunity for participating surgeons to hone their skills and keep up-to-date with the latest techniques and technology.
As faculty members of ASAPS, bodySCULPT’s plastic surgeons – Dr. Spero J Theodorou and Dr. Christopher T Chia are actively involved in this surgical community that focuses on medical education, public education and patient advocacy. Thoroughly knowledgeable in the latest technologies, both surgeons provide training to their peers.
Our surgeons participated in the Aesthetic Meeting 2014, which was held at Moscone Center, San Francisco from April 24-29, 2014. They presented a 3-hour course on “Liposuction 2014: New Technologies, Established Techniques, and Combined Procedures.” The course had information necessary to: plan and perform liposuction safely and efficiently, identify alternative routines to optimally treat a broad variety of patients, evaluate utilization of local anesthesia, compare established and newer techniques, and so on.
Dr. Spero J Theodorou and Dr. Christopher T Chia have been acknowledged and honored for their service as faculty members at ASAPS Aesthetic Meeting 2014.
